Getting the scale right above a sofa
The most common mistake in living rooms is hanging something too small. A standard three-seat sofa is around 210 cm wide, which calls for artwork spanning roughly 140 cm — that is a 36x48 canvas, or two 24x36 canvases hung together with a small gap.
Height matters too. The bottom edge of the canvas should sit 15 to 25 cm above the back of the sofa. Higher than that and the piece floats free of the furniture; lower and people knock it with their heads.

What is the largest canvas you make?
36x48 is our largest standard size. Contact us for custom dimensions beyond that.
Will direct sunlight damage the canvas?
Our UVgel ink is rated for 30 years indoors. Direct sun is fine; we still suggest avoiding a wall that gets hours of unfiltered afternoon light.
Can I hang two canvases as a pair?
Yes. Order them together so they print in the same run and leave about 5–10 cm between them.
How far from the sofa should it hang?
15 to 25 cm above the sofa back. That keeps the artwork visually anchored to the furniture.
